A metallurgical engineering division manufacturing customised products in mild steel, SG iron, cast iron and manganese steel. RDSO Class 'A' certified vendor for the manufacture and supply of over 25 casting products for Indian Railways - from 0.2 kg to 500 kg finished.
Induction and arc melting across four ferrous alloy families. Every heat is spectrometry-verified in our own laboratory before it is poured. Castings are treated and machined at twin plants in Uttarakhand - Rudrapur and Bhagwanpur.
The structural spine of the bogie. Cast, normalised, then machined at the pedestal jaw and column faces to drawing tolerance. Mass ≈380 kg. Tolerance CT-8. RDSO Class 'A' approved.
Impact-hardening coupler casting. Manganese steel work-hardens at the contact faces under service load rather than wearing through. Mass ≈48 kg. Proof-load tested. RDSO Class 'A' approved.
Cast iron brake-head for railway braking assemblies. Nominal mass 12 kg. Supplied as a finished metallurgical product used in critical safety assemblies.
Bolsters, axle box bodies and centre pivots in SG iron. Used across wagon, LHB coach and locomotive bogies - held to the RDSO drawing and the same tolerance standard as every other alloy family.
Side frames, brackets and housings.
Bolsters, axle box bodies and centre pivots.
Brake heads and general castings.
CBC knuckles and wear liners.
Arc furnace 5,000 kg and induction furnaces 1,000 kg and 500 kg. Moulding on Disa Arpa, HPML and lost-foam lines. Hydraulic pusher pouring, monorail and overhead crane.
Riser removal, grinding and surface dressing. Hanger-type and table-type 72 in shot blast, 48 in tumbler, pneumatic chippers and grinders.
Normalising, annealing, hardening and stress relieving. PLC-controlled electric furnace 5 MT, time-temperature recording, 50,000 L quench tank.
Twenty-two CNC machines - VMC, HMC, VTL and CNC turning - established June 2020. Castings machined in-house to finished drawing tolerance.
Spectrometry, mechanical, chemical, NDT, metrology and sand testing. Every heat is verified against the specified grade before dispatch.
Spray, brush and dip in a dust-free, humidity-controlled room. Curing up to 300 °C, then DFT, gloss, density and viscosity checks.
Drawing office to first-article and RDSO approval. In-house pattern and fixture design on DelCam and AutoCAD.
RDSO Class 'A' - Govt. of India. ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
Unit 01 - Rudrapur, Udham Singh Nagar. Established June 2020, the group's first world-class machining unit, set up as an ancillary for the ZF Rane group.
Unit 02 - Bhagwanpur, Haridwar. Khasra No. 255 & 256, Fakkarhedi. Foundry established for backward integration and import substitution - casting for Indian Railways, defence and automotive, including products such as air springs and brake discs.
Finished metallurgical products for braking, suspension, propulsion and coupling - wagon, coach, locomotive and track components.
